Lewis D. Rowe: Innovation Design + Management

Lewis D. Rowe

I’m currently developing new products in collaboration with purposeful people & organizations who want to make the world a better place. I also occasionally act as an interim (fractional) Chief Strategy & Operating Officer for promising social enterprises, to scale their impact around the world.

I’ve collaborated with global corporations including Microsoft, Motorola, IBM, and Pfizer to launch new science and technologies - from cloud computing to cancer therapies.

I served on the founding team of Emulate Inc. as Chief Strategy Officer, a high-impact startup spun out of Harvard University’s Wyss Institute in partnership with DARPA and the U.S. FDA - to combat biological threats and accelerate personalized medicine.

RECOGNITION:

I’m named as an inventor on more than 30 patents for Emulate’s “Human Emulation System.” The technology was awarded Design of the Year by London’s Design Museum and is part of the permanent art collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Its impact on human health has been recognized by the BBC, The Wall Street Journal, NBC, Fast Company, WIRED, National Geographic, and the World Economic Forum.

FELLOWSHIPS:

I’m a Fellow within the Drucker Institute at Claremont Graduate University, a research center & think tank exploring socially responsible leadership and effective management.
